I really Want to join air force; mild childhood asthma. will i be dq'd by MEPS?? please help!!?

Hello everyone, im an 18 year old male and currently a high school senior. My uncle is currently a lt.col at andrews air force base in D.C. I plan to follow his footsteps and join the worlds finest, team blue. (AF) However, the situation is I had childhood asthma when I was younger and was prescribed to an inhaler. I have not had any asthma like symptoms or used an inhaler past the age of 12. Since age 12 I have been involved in numerous athletics where excercise was intense (football, wrestling, basketball, baseball) I also had a PFT test done and the doctors report says everything is normal and the results were good. Is there still a chance I will be disqualified by MEPS? Even with good health from age 12 on.. And a PFT test report and letter stating my good health from a specialist? Please help me.. And I thank your time as well.

Disposing of litter in an apartment

My husband and I will be moving to an apartment soon and I'm wondering how I'm going to dispose of the cat dirties without wasting a bunch of plastic bags (not very "green") and preferably without flushing. I currently use biodegradable litter and I flush it because the box is in the bathroom, but I've heard flushing cat litter is bad. I like to keep it extremely clean and scoop the litter almost every time she goes and do not want to have to leave the apartment every time to just dispose of one poo. Where should I put it all? Kitten sick with Uri. Breathing through mouth and severely congested.?

My3 month old kitten was diagnosed with a URI on Monday, for sneezing and clear runny runny eyes. They prescribed Amoxicilin drops and gave a shot of antibiotics. However, by Wednesday, she was coughing and by Thursday, wheezing. We took her back on Friday, and she got another shot of antibiotics AND a shot of steroids, to help her open her nasal and sinus pages, so she didnt have to struggle to breathe. We bough a humidifier and have been letting it run in the bedroom (with her in it) ever since. Friday night and ALL DAY Saturday she ate like a champ and slept most of the day. Her breathing was great. However, we woke up this morning (Sunday of course, so no clinics are open) and she's as bad as she was Weds and Thurs. She can't sleep, keeps bobbing her head and refusing to lay down, and shes so tired that she wont eat. I know the vet cant keep giving her steroids, but I dont know what to do to help her. The humidifier is still going, she's still drinking water, but she wont sleep and she cat eat. She's so congested and its hard for her to breathe again. Please tell me what I can do to make her feel better.

that sounds like the flue to me.. your Dr. may be able to give you something to get over it a bit quicker.. other than that it's plenty of rest, fluids if you can keep them down . use things like clear -room temperature soda -small sip here and there , and clear liquids like jello water . might try some pedia-light ( spelled wrong) to help balance the electro lights.. Don't use things like gator aid and sports or energy drinks that are hard on healthy body kidneys.. I wouldn't drink caffeinated beverages either these can actually cause you to dehydrate faster.. if you haven't been able to hold any thing down for 18-24 hours i would think seriously about going to a prompt care or emergency room to be sure you are not dehydrated and they can also give you something to help you stop throwing up ...though the new philosophy at many facilities is that you need to throw up to get the virus out of your system quicker, they still will be able to help you if you are dehydrated . Mosquito larvae in dogs water bowl?

We found LOTS of mosquito larvae swimming around the dogs water dish when we got home today. Based on the internet it would have taken 2 - 4 days for them to hatch and get to the stage we found them so the dogs must have ingested some of the larvae while drinking their water the past couple of days. I pose the following question, what is the difference between hating somebody for their ethnicity or chosen religion, and hating Cleveland browns fans, or WVU? One might say it is just a friendly rivalry. But is it? Could hate groups just be a broader and more expansive version of rooting for your home team so to speak? Malcolm X in the 60's promoted white hate in New York and throughout the United States. Radical Muslim fundamentalists today promote Anti-American sentiments throughout the middle east. The hate groups on the internet for the most part do not explicitly advocate violence, but they promote an attitude of supremacy. This is very much like how most Steeler fans would not directly advocate aggression towards a Cleveland or Baltimore fan, but suggest that Pittsburgh is better than Cleveland or Baltimore. However when the inevitable instances of violence do take place, I find myself asking, yet again, the same exact question. What is the difference between the violence exchanged between ethnicities or races, and violence exchanged between a Steelers fan and let's say a Ravens fan? Is there not hate speech, Aka "trash talk" or "talking smack" exchanged? Numerous sports websites, blogs contain as the author states "flaming" material expressing anger towards the opposing teams, their fans, their city, etc. The answer is there is very little, if even no difference between the two. It boils down to every individual's education level and their ability to think critically and ess whether or not they want to "take stock" in that bullshit. The inherent beauty of our right to freedom of speech, and all the other privileges granted by the first amendment is from this right to think freely, and to speak one's mind comes a multitude, in grand exponential form, of free flowing ideas for inspiration, creativity, progress, and capital. The acknowledgement of the necessity of freedom to express one's most candid thoughts being germane to the continued success of a truly free democratic regime is in a sense the true embracement of one's citizenship here inside the United States. How do I wean my 6 month old off night time bottle?

My son was just recently very sick and needed his bottle more often for comfort, since he doesn't take a pacifier. Now that he's better, he wakes up every couple hours in the night crying because he wants that suction from his bottle. I am getting very tired and would like some help on how to break him of this. Pretty good. But, you do need to work on it a little bit, try and put more pauses in your story. People will want to read more if you do that. (When I mean pauses, I mean commas). The book sounds REALLY good so far. Just don't EVER get off a different subject for the whole story, or it wont make sense. There are some sentences you messed up on. You'll notice them. You will need a lot of patience and regardless of what you saw in the movie Karate/Kung Fu Kid you can not learn it in a month. I have to ask , why would you want to change the pickups? If I remember correctly the american deluxe strat has the cobalt noiseless pickups with a hotter wound pickup in the bridge slot. These pickups combined with the ash body and all the tonal variations of the deluxe strat you should be able to get just about any kind of sound your looking for. I've played guitar for over 35 years now, many many types of music, and along the way I discovered a couple of things about pickups. Changing your pickups will not change your tone nearly as much as you might think. The four things that make up the bulk of your tone are wood , string gauge ,scale length and your touch. How you attack the strings , if you will. I think it might be wise to try out different guitar and amp combinations before you put out your hard earned cash. Find a setup that works well for you and go from there. In short , if your guitar doesn't have the tone that your looking for changing the pickups will probably not fix the problem. I have seen so many people put humbuckers in their strats thinking that it will give them a les paul sound ,doesn't work that way. A strat is a longer scale length than a paul and the added tension from the longer scale length makes a drastic difference in the basic tone. Good luck to ya !

Can A Phone Number be inactive and still ring?

I used to work for Hollywood Video and as some of you may know, Hollywood Video has gone out of business. When filling out resumes I put the phone number for the location I worked at and I figured if anything they would call and get a "we're sorry the phone number you're trying to reach is no longer valid...." message that comes with inactive phone lines, but out of curiousity I dialed it and got a ring with no answer or option for voicemail. Can an outlet be grounded without a ground wire?

I live in a rental apartment built in the late 60s and the outlets are all two prong. A few years ago, a repairman put a 3 prong outlet (not GFCI) in the master bedroom and I've been using a window air conditioner on it without a problem. However, upon recent inspection, I turned off the power and looked at the outlet and noticed there was no ground wire. But with the circuit tester indicated that the outlet was grounded. Is this possible? Also, our electrical boxes are metal if that makes a difference. And is it safe?

In the NFL it is not the same as college , if you are playing a team in your division that you play twice a year then run it up you may need them at the end of the season , this is the NFL and these are not some kids in High School but for Wisconsin to run up the score in college to 82 points I think that is too much and if I was playing Wisconsin the next game for another team this would get me fired up to destroy them . Near black outs?

So, this used to happen to me...maybe about a year ago and now it is back again. I stand up and it starts to get dark, then darker, then lighter again. I sometimes have to sit down before it gets lighter. (I can only think of one time though) It happens usually when I rise, and sometimes when I may be outside. I figured its probably because I'm not drinking enough water so I started doing that, its not as bad I guess. My brother had the same problem except he actually blacked out all of a sudden and it was because he didn't get enough electrolytes..so I plan on drinking more Gatorade, except I don't want so much sugar. Any other methods? It also may have to do with the heat, its getting really humid and soon hot and humid over here. So, I also want to drink a lot of liquid for that. My main worry is that I play football and the pads and the heat may cause me to black out during practice, which would look wimpy and could be dangerous since it will get so hot here by august. About 2 years ago my then fiancee had a huge affair and it resulted in him leaving me for her, and leaving our then 4 month old baby with me. Since then I have had anxiety and depression issues. I have three knobs in my shower. Hot, Cold, and then the diverter to the shower head. The diverter allows for the cold water to ascend to the shower head while not allowing the hot water to do so. So I found some old quilts in my basement. The note on them from my deceased grandmother says that they were made by my great-great-great grandma back in the 1800s. They are beautifully made with a lot of detail, but none of them were ever finished, and none of them have backings. I really want to finish them so that I can use them and display them in my home. I got an email for a job offer to do data entry for finance company out of New York that says that they work for Robert Walters LLC, I was interviewed on instant messenger yesterday and was asked to open a checking account and savings on a Wells Fargo Bank. The hiring manager said I needed to open this account so they can send me money to buy a sofware that I need to do the job. you're at your 'happy weight' now, which is what i am too lol and so trying to lose that last bit of weight is extra hard. try doing more cardio like an hour on the bike instead of only 30 minutes. also try switching it up like adding in some running, walking, and jump rope. your eating looks pretty good, so adding more cardio and different types and you should start losing again. good luck!

I have a pion for photo & print projects. The programs that I use are basic home versions. I have learned to become pretty good at using these programs and intend to purchase better software geared toward more professional use. So far I have been recruited to do fliers, brochures, various invitations, newsletters, letterhead, business cards, personalized greeting cards, obituaries and even some simple photo/video editing. learn 180s frontside and backside,then try and learn popshove its,but i recommend you learn kickflips because they feel great or if you have a manual pad or curbs try and ollie up the curb and land into a manual then try and skate off the other curb.always practice your ollies loads because once you get them about 2 skateboard decks(on their sides) high you can start learning loads of other tricks. u could get candle wax and wax curbs with it then try doing 50 50 grinds or you could do noseslides(just put your front foot on the nose then make it stall into the curb then make it slide)

How can i get rid of chest congestion ive had for a few weeks?

About 3 or 4 weeks ago my sister told me she thought she had bronchitis i didn't really think i could catch it because Ive never had it before . about a week later i noticed in the morning time i had a soar throat it wasn't to bad though because it went away in about 10 min . after that my nose started getting stuffy i was sneezing 3-4 even 5 times in a row so i went to the doctor they prescribed me AZITHROMYCIN tablets and METHYLPREDNISOLONE tablets and a PROAIR HFA inhaler. i took all this as instructed and i was still very congested . so i went back to the doctor again a few days later this made me upset because the doctor i had i don't think knew what they were doing they prescribed me BENZONATATE a cough suppressant and they said i may have allergies which i never have before.. so they made me get claritin D too .. Now Ive been taking these for a bit now and claritin D does not help with my stuffy nose or my chest congestion at all neither does the BENZONATATE . I don't know what i should do i am a smoker but i only smoke 1-4 ciggs a day . The mucus i manage to get up is more of a clear color i have no chest pains at all . Anyone have any advice on what i should do or what i could have .. do you think i should go back to the doctors ?

Maurice Jones-Drew vs. Ray Rice?

MJD is the better back IMO. Jacksonville will run the majority of the time because their only good reciever is MSW and Garrard isn't that good. Ray Rice has to compete with Flacco, an up and coming QB with two stud recievers. Plus,like you said, McClain might take some carries. Also, Rice is pretty young and inexpirienced. Jones drew has a couple seasons under his belt and, unless he is injured, should put up similar numbers to his previous years, so he will be a monster. Rice is great and a solid pick (a case can be made for either), but he just isn't as reliable as MJD and therefore, there is more of a risk. Overall, i think MJD will have the better season, and this wouldn't the first time that someone came off one great season and failed in the next (cough cough Matt Forte cough cough), so their is a much heavier rick with Rice. But go with your gut on this one, because they r both great picks.
