I don't use dialup anymore, but dialup icon keeps popping on screen?

I quit using dial up many weeks back, and now use cable internet connection broadband. However, i still see the dialup icon pop up consistently asking me to click the dial on in order to view the website. That is very irritating, because i'm already connected through cable modem and the connection always works. How to stop the dialup icon nuisance from reappearing?
