My boyfriend wanted to make love, when i didnt, he got mad and its my fault?

We have been dating for almost 3 years now. We both have full time jobs, and each have children from previous relationships and one of our own. My question, he wanted to make love last night and when I told him no, that I just wanted to snuggle he got mad. He didn't even talk to me today, and when he did, he made it seem like my fault! :(
