Does anybody have a statistic or has found a site about advanced placement tests?

I'm writing a persuasive essay about [NOTE: THIS IS NOT A REAL SCENARIO] how the US government is planning to send students at grade 6 to either a school that leads them to college or to another school were they'll later become athletes or take on another profession. Has any one found any interesting statistics about students that aren't in advanced cles become just as successful as those who are or something similar to that? (Wow that's a run-on)
